So things have finally come to a head with Man-Pig and his hedonistic lifestyle. Just the other day he calls me up all low-voiced and depressed, talking about "I told her man...she knows." Yeah. Ok. I'm sure you CHOSE to tell her, right? Doubt it. Previously, some shit really hit the fan when Pregnant girl's ex-best friend (who hooked up with a cocain dealer and moved across the street from Man-Pig) calls Man-Pig's wife over as she's packing the car to leave town (yes, this happened at the last possible second, oh sweet karma) and told her the story. PG's ex-friend hasn't been in the picture for THREE FRIGGIN' MONTHS! WTF!!! All of a sudden she feels the need to break bad and spill guts to someone she barely knows? So the rest of the night, PG locked herself in her house and turned her phone off...Wife was out for blood. Man-Pig eventually denies everything enough to calm her down, all is calm again, or so he thinks. Back to present day. Wife is due to come back to work here and she's none too happy with Yours Truly. She surprised me yesterday by stopping in for some prelim work and I avoid her like the plague. It doesn't work. We pass each other and the "hi"'s exchanged were pretty cold. This isn't going to be fun.
So she finally got the truth out of him and I have to deal with some of that drama. Now she knows...most of the truth. No, he STILL couldn't tell her the whole truth. Nope. Saw no need. He's really torquing me off here lately. Here's the other half to that story.
About two weeks ago, I get a call from the wife of the guy giving me guitar lessons telling me that his band is having troubles with their drummer and to let them know if I know anybody who drums and could do the job. Well, Man-Pig has shit going for him now, so what do I do? I hook him up. To sum up, he comes down, feels inadequate because he hasn't played for two years, but they understand and see potential in him. They like him. They LIKE him. So he agrees after some haggling and conversing about current events and jobs and such, all is going well in that regard. Now he's hemming and hawing about not being able to do practices and is even reconsidering the whole thing! This is AFTER he comes down and borrows an extra drum set from guitar guy!
Sometimes I wonder why I love the guy so much...but I've been his friend since we were six, so it's hard to let that sort of thing go. We've been through a lot and now we're going through more so I can't give up on him yet. Just sucks that frustration is building. Ug.

yes
It sucks. I'm really glad that whole thing is ending because I am not cool with it at all. I don't mind a little drama (see post for 8-12-05), but don't drag it all over 10 flippin' years!
